Fortinet has officially joined the third edition of Egypt’s Cybersecurity Superhero Academy as a primary technology partner, supporting a nationwide initiative to cultivate a new generation of digital defenders.
Led by the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the 2026 program aims to equip more than 6,000 participants with essential cybersecurity and digital safety skills.
The Cybersecurity Superhero Academy currently stands as one of Egypt’s largest national initiatives for digital awareness and youth capacity building. According to program expectations, the 2026 intake will equal the total number of trainees from the previous two editions combined.
Running from July through September 2026, the program is being deployed across 17 governorates. Training sessions are hosted locally at NTI branches and Creativa Digital Innovation Centers to ensure wide accessibility. The initiative is further supported by key regulatory bodies, including the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and the Egyptian Computer Emergency Readiness Team (EG-CERT).
Targeting a diverse demographic, the academy welcomes children and youth aged 8 to 17, alongside university students and recent graduates. The core curriculum provides comprehensive instruction on critical pillars, including the fundamentals of safe internet use, data protection, and digital privacy. Students also learn practical strategies for identifying cyber threats, implementing preventative measures, and building a foundational awareness of artificial intelligence and its implications for modern digital security.
As a leading technology partner, Fortinet is supplying the NTI with tailored educational content derived directly from its global Fortinet Security Awareness Curriculum. This content forms the structural foundation for a dedicated, week-long intensive training module.
To maximize engagement, the academy’s learning model replaces traditional passive lectures with an interactive, hands-on approach. The program combines practical laboratories, collaborative group projects, and workshops designed to build both technical expertise and essential soft skills.
Fortinet’s involvement in the 2026 edition directly aligns with its global mission to advance cybersecurity education, close the growing cyber skills gap, and accelerate secure digital transformation.
