Oman: TECHzMagazine – News Desk

Otech, the technology arm of Omantel, has forged a strategic partnership with Omani AI startup Remedy to launch RISE Talent, an advanced artificial intelligence-powered enterprise platform. Announced on August 22, 2026, this collaboration focuses on leveraging AI to enhance strategic planning, enterprise performance management, and human capital management across organizations.

The RISE Talent platform is designed to bridge the gap between corporate strategy and workforce development. It uses Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to cascade strategic goals across different organizational levels. Rather than treating talent processes as isolated functions, the AI system integrates seamlessly across the entire employee lifecycle. Its core capabilities span competency framework management, targeted recruitment, and learning and development programs, alongside comprehensive performance management and career planning functions.

The platform also delivers AI-supported HR analytics that evaluate workforce data to identify key patterns and support leadership decision-making, while digital self-service tools simplify routine employee procedures to reduce administrative workloads and build a more agile workplace. In a significant show of confidence, Otech will deploy RISE Talent internally within its own corporate environment before rolling it out to the broader commercial market.

This allows the platform to be stress-tested on real organizational workflows. Turki bin Abdulhafidh Al Balushi, Co-founder of Remedy, emphasized that the partnership enables the startup to move its AI solutions from the development stage directly into practical institutional implementation, benefiting heavily from Otech’s technical expertise and understanding of complex enterprise needs. Remedy, which was founded in 2020 and incubated within Omantel Innovation Labs, specializes in applied AI, decision intelligence, and performance diagnostics.

The initiative is deeply aligned with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which prioritizes digital transformation, the cultivation of a knowledge-based economy, and the expansion of domestic technology capabilities. Eng. Maqbool bin Salim Al Wahaibi, Acting CEO of Otech, stated that building a competitive digital economy requires a strong ecosystem that brings together local innovation, technical expertise, and real-world institutional needs. By supporting an Omani startup like Remedy, Otech is directly helping translate homegrown technological concepts into scalable, enterprise-ready solutions capable of competing regionally and internationally.
