US-based Guardian Fire Services, backed by Bahraini alternative investment powerhouse Investcorp, has officially acquired Nebraska-based Midwest Protection Services in a strategic move to dominate the regional fire and life safety market.
This deal marks Guardian’s second major transaction in just six months following its acquisition by Investcorp in December 2025. The move significantly strengthens Guardian’s foothold in the US Midwest, particularly the Omaha commercial sector, and caps off Investcorp’s aggressive US strategy, which saw $1.1 billion deployed in the second half of 2025.
Guardian Fire Services is rapidly scaling its US footprint. The comprehensive fire protection and life safety provider has successfully acquired Midwest Protection Services, a premier safety solutions provider based in Nebraska. While the financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, the deal signals an aggressive growth trajectory for Guardian under its new leadership. This acquisition marks Guardian’s second major transaction in a six-month window, closely following Investcorp’s acquisition of the company in December 2025.
The integration of Midwest Protection Services is designed to consolidate Guardian’s presence across the Midwest. By absorbing Midwest’s regional expertise, Guardian is positioned to significantly expand its delivery of advanced safety solutions to commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational end markets in the greater Omaha region.
Guardian’s rapid expansion reflects the broader, aggressive strategy of its parent company. Investcorp’s acquisition of Guardian last year was the crowning move in a massive deployment of capital, capping off $1.1 billion in US investment activity during the second half of 2025.
Demonstrating a strong appetite for US assets, Investcorp also closed out last year by acquiring a diversified portfolio of industrial properties in the US for approximately $400 million. As Guardian Fire Services continues to integrate regional players like Midwest Protection, the market can likely expect further consolidation plays driven by Investcorp’s robust capital backing.
