The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) is prioritizing strategic partnerships to build a secure and sustainable digital ecosystem. Recognizing that robust cybersecurity requires a unified front, the CA recently hosted trainees from the Kenya Naval Training School in Nairobi.
This engagement provided practical exposure to cyber threat management, spectrum monitoring, and regulatory compliance, highlighting the critical role of knowledge-sharing in national security and public service delivery.
Beyond domestic cooperation, the CA is forging global alliances to advance Kenya’s digital transformation. CA Director General David Mugonyi recently met with Oracle Corporation’s Matis Pellerin to discuss leveraging emerging technologies for local innovation and expanded digital access.
Underpinning these efforts is the National Kenya Computer Incident Response Team – Coordination Centre (National KE-CIRT/CC). Operating 24/7 from the CA Centre, this multi-agency hub unites regulators, law enforcement, and tech providers to proactively detect and neutralize cyber threats, ensuring Kenya’s rapidly expanding digital economy remains inherently secure.
