The Universal Telecommunications Service Development Fund (FDSUT) has officially inaugurated the Living Lab of Ziguinchor, a new innovation and collaboration space aimed at supporting digital development and territorial transformation in southern Senegal.
The initiative was announced by the Fonds de Développement du Service Universel des Télécommunications, which invited stakeholders and the public to follow the opening ceremony and explore the new facility.
The Living Lab is designed as a collaborative environment focused on innovation, experimentation, and the development of locally driven digital solutions. It is expected to bring together innovators, public institutions, researchers, and private sector actors to co-create solutions tailored to regional development needs.
According to FDSUT, the facility forms part of broader efforts to promote digital transformation and strengthen access to technology-driven opportunities across Senegal’s regions.
The Ziguinchor Living Lab is also intended to support entrepreneurship, encourage knowledge sharing, and enhance the role of digital technologies in driving inclusive economic and social development at the territorial level.
