Orange Jordan and Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) have officially renewed their strategic training cooperation agreement for an additional three years, extending their partnership through the end of 2029. The renewed collaboration aims to continue building essential digital skills among youth, reflecting a shared vision to enhance youth readiness for the future demands of the tech labor market.
Under this extended agreement, PSUT will continue to accredit the certificates issued by the Orange Digital Center’s Coding Academy, recognized as the first of its kind in the Middle East. The Coding Academy’s operational model focuses on “training for employment,” merging intensive technical training with practical, hands-on application to open multiple career paths for participants in Jordan’s growing technology sector.
Over the past seven years, the Coding Academy has successfully graduated more than 1,000 young men and women, achieving an impressive employment rate that exceeds 80 percent. The certificates awarded to these graduates carry accreditations from both PSUT and the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, underscoring the efficacy and high standards of the training model.
Representatives from Orange Jordan expressed their pride in the enduring partnership with PSUT, noting that integrated collaboration between academic institutions and the private sector is crucial for developing national talent and driving a sustainable, positive impact on society.
PSUT officials emphasized that the continuity of the agreement highlights the depth of their relationship, adding that integrating academic rigor with practical industry expertise represents a vital step in elevating the overall quality of local training programs and equipping graduates with the exact digital competencies demanded by employers.
In conjunction with the renewal, the Coding Academy announced it will welcome a new cohort of students on September 1st in Irbid and Amman. This upcoming intake is part of a new program implemented in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation, providing intensive technical training to 85 students between the ages of 18 and 35.
The new curriculum will cover a broad spectrum of highly sought-after fields, including web development, artificial intelligence, freelancing, and life and career skills. Following the completion of their training, students will be placed into practical internships at various companies operating within the tech ecosystem, ensuring a smooth transition into the workforce.
