Announced jointly from Tokyo, London, and Santa Clara, NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks have established a multi-year global strategic alliance targeting $1 billion in joint business by 2029. The partnership, marking Palo Alto Networks’ first alliance of this scale with a global systems integrator, combines AI-driven cybersecurity platforms with NTT DATA’s consulting and managed services to help enterprises securely adopt AI and modernize IT environments.
The initiative leverages significant shared investments, with NTT DATA deploying over 2,000 Palo Alto Networks-certified professionals and dedicated Forward Deployed Engineers. Supported by a footprint of 7,500 cybersecurity experts, 70 delivery centers, and 20 Cyber Defense Centers, the collaboration grants NTT DATA early access to new platform features to accelerate the rollout of integrated AI security services.
Tailored for highly regulated industries like financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and the public sector, the alliance focuses on six key areas: autonomous Security Operations Centers utilizing Agentic AI, AI governance, comprehensive identity security, Zero Trust and Secure Access Service Edge architecture, multi-cloud security, and firewall modernization to counter machine-speed attacks.
Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora stated the expanded alliance operationalizes platformization globally, eliminating legacy complexity without sacrificing safety. NTT DATA, Inc. CEO Abhijit Dubey emphasized that adapting to the rapidly transforming threat landscape requires merging AI-powered cybersecurity innovation with expert engineering. Ultimately, the $1 billion target encompasses products, subscriptions, and managed services designed to replace fragmented legacy tools with a unified, AI-native platform.
