As Gulf region governments aggressively digitize tax administration, global compliance provider ClearTax has partnered with open-source business management platform Odoo to deliver a native integration streamlining e-invoicing and indirect tax compliance. This collaboration directly targets the operational friction created by new mandates, such as Saudi Arabia’s ZATCA framework and the UAE’s upcoming e-invoicing rollout.
By embedding ClearTax’s infrastructure directly into Odoo’s ecosystem, a new dedicated connector allows businesses to manage evolving regulatory requirements without leaving their existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) workflows. The rollout will initially benefit an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) utilizing Odoo in the UAE and Oman before scaling across the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). ClearTax, processing more than a billion e-invoices annually, will enable automated formatting, validation, and reporting natively from Odoo, with both companies aiming to leverage this model for future international deployments.
ClearTax Founder and CEO Archit Gupta emphasized that finance teams expect compliance to be built seamlessly into their daily systems, allowing businesses to adapt without losing focus on growth. Pavitra Singh, Managing Director for Odoo Middle East, added that providing fully localized solutions remains a core priority, ensuring customers remain agile amid the region’s rapidly evolving digital invoicing landscape.
