Alphabet Inc. has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, showcasing a massive financial surge fueled by artificial intelligence investments. According to the company’s official earnings release, consolidated revenue for Q2 reached $119.8 billion, a 24% year-over-year increase, marking its 12th consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth.
The standout performer of the quarter was Google Cloud, which recorded a staggering 82% increase in revenue to $24.8 billion. This rapid expansion was heavily driven by the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) enterprise AI Solutions and AI infrastructure. Alphabet noted a significant uptick in the adoption of its AI tools, with nearly 90% of the Fortune 100 now utilizing Gemini Enterprise.
Beyond the cloud, Alphabet’s core advertising and consumer products maintained strong growth. Total Google Services revenues climbed 15% year-over-year to $94.5 billion. This growth was anchored by Google Search and Other increasing by 17% to $63.3 billion, YouTube ads growing by 13% to $11.1 billion, and Google subscriptions, platforms, and devices rising 15% to $12.9 billion.
“Our AI investments are redefining what’s possible across every part of our business,” stated Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet. “Q2 was an amazing quarter, driven by demand for AI infrastructure and AI solutions.”
Alphabet’s bottom line saw historic gains during the quarter. Operating income saw a 30% jump to $40.8 billion, expanding the operating margin by 2 percentage points to 34%. In a notable highlight, net income available to common stockholders spiked by 298% to $112.1 billion, largely resulting from a $98.0 billion net gain connected to unrealized gains on equity securities.
