Manama: TECHz – News Desk
stc pay Bahrain, a leading mobile wallet for digital financial transactions headquartered in Manama, has officially expanded its services to allow Saudi nationals visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain to register and use its digital wallet. This development marks a significant first step in the company’s planned regional expansion across the GCC.
The new service empowers visitors from Saudi Arabia to seamlessly create an stc pay Bahrain account without needing Bahraini residency documentation. Instead, users can register using their valid Saudi National ID, granting them immediate access to secure digital payment solutions across a wide network of merchants and service providers during their stay in Bahrain.
Opening an account is designed to be a streamlined, digital-first process. It is important to note that this service is exclusively provided by stc pay Bahrain and operates as a separate entity from stc pay Saudi Arabia.
To be eligible for an account, users must be: Saudi nationals aged 18 years or older, possess a valid Saudi National ID, and have an active mobile number. Residency in Bahrain is not required.
The onboarding process takes just a few minutes using the latest version of the stc pay Bahrain application. Users simply download the app, enter their mobile number, upload a clear photo of their Saudi National ID for verification, and take a quick selfie to confirm their identity.
Top-Up Channels and Financial Flexibility
Once registered, Saudi visitors can fund their wallets through a variety of convenient channels, ensuring seamless access to their funds while in Bahrain. Users can make fast and secure top-ups directly from an iPhone using Apple Pay, or fund the account using any local or international credit card, as well as Bahrain-issued debit cards.
Additional digital options include direct bank transfers from bank accounts in Bahrain via Fawri+ and Fawri to the IBAN linked to the stc pay account, along with instant funding through BenefitPay and Fawateer accessible directly within the app. For those who prefer using cash, physical deposits can be made at TAM kiosk machines located across the Kingdom.
Bank-Grade Security
This new service extension provides Saudi visitors with bank-grade security and the highest encryption standards for their transactions. Users receive instant push notifications for every payment or transfer, ensuring full visibility and control over their spending while traveling.
By opening its ecosystem to Saudi nationals, stc pay Bahrain is enhancing cross-border financial convenience and reinforcing its position as a pioneer in the region’s transition to a seamless, cashless economy.
