Nigeria and Finland have strengthened bilateral cooperation in the digital economy through a new partnership agreement aimed at accelerating innovation and inclusive growth.
Dr. Bosun Tijani hosted H.E. Jarno Syrjäla alongside H.E. Sanna Selin in his office, following a recent investment and partnership tour across Europe. The engagement builds on ongoing discussions between both countries on expanding collaboration in technology and innovation.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines cooperation in key areas of the digital economy, including digital government services, connectivity, emerging technologies, digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the development of innovation ecosystems.
According to Tijani, the agreement will deepen collaboration with Finnish development partners and private sector players, enabling both nations to leverage digital transformation for shared prosperity. The partnership is also expected to support inclusive growth by driving initiatives that strengthen technological capacity and innovation across Nigeria and Finland.
