Censys, the authority in internet intelligence and exposure insights, has appointed Meriam ElOuazzani as its first dedicated Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region. In her new role, ElOuazzani will lead the company’s end-to-end regional growth strategy, focusing on revenue expansion, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem development, while strengthening Censys’ position as the default external attack surface intelligence layer for organizations across the region.
“We are delighted to welcome Meriam ElOuazzani as Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. This appointment deepens our investment in a region where Censys has already established strong momentum and is strategically positioned for accelerated growth,” said Sarah Ashburn, Chief Revenue Officer at Censys. “Meriam’s proven track record in scaling cybersecurity markets across META, combined with her deep regional insight, makes her the right leader to expand our market presence and meet the growing demand for trusted internet intelligence.”
With more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise technology, ElOuazzani has built and scaled markets across the region by developing high-performing teams, channel ecosystems, and effective go-to-market strategies. Her career highlights include serving as Senior Regional Director at SentinelOne, where she established the company’s regional go-to-market operations, as well as holding multiple leadership roles at VMware across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), where she strengthened channel, security, and distribution networks to accelerate growth. She also led regional product sales for mobility solutions across the Middle East at Cisco Systems.
At Censys, ElOuazzani will focus on expanding strategic partnerships with governments and enterprises, including channel partners, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and hyperscaler alliances, enabling the company to scale efficiently across diverse regional markets.
“The META region is at an inflection point in cybersecurity maturity. Across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, governments and commercial organizations are moving beyond traditional perimeter defenses and demanding real-time threat detection and operational visibility into their digital footprint,” said Meriam ElOuazzani, Vice President for META at Censys. “Over the past two decades in this region, I’ve witnessed firsthand how the right intelligence can transform security operations entirely. Censys’ internet intelligence platform equips security teams with authoritative, real-time insight into exposure and adversary activity, replacing assumptions with actionable confidence. My mission is to establish Censys as a trusted partner across META and enable the shift from reactive defense to proactive intelligence.”
Censys helps security teams identify exposures, monitor changes, and detect threats before they can be exploited by continuously mapping internet-facing assets, services, and critical infrastructure. Its platform enables governments and enterprises to make informed decisions by delivering accurate, comprehensive visibility into their digital footprint.
Recognized for pioneering internet-scale attack surface mapping and advancing threat intelligence for industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT), Censys has gained industry recognition and built strong partnerships across the global cybersecurity ecosystem. In the Middle East, the company has already partnered with Rilian Technologies to bring its internet intelligence and ICS/OT capabilities to sovereign entities and critical infrastructure sectors. Through this appointment, Censys further reinforces its commitment to supporting national cybersecurity priorities and driving long-term regional growth.
As part of its regional expansion plans, Censys has also appointed Rajaee Al-Dalgamouni as Regional Sales Director – META and Ahmed Ehlayel as Manager, Solutions Engineering – META, strengthening the regional leadership team under ElOuazzani’s direction.
